Denyse Schmidt and I are thrilled to invite you to Our Sunshine QAL.
Perfect for new sewists and beginner quilters!
Is this your first Quilt Along/QAL or Sew Along/SAL? Or your tenth?? All are welcome. Denyse and I have different styles so you will learn from both of us. We will teach you the basics of cutting and sewing the fabric, and how to put color together along with the finishing details to make your own successful version of Our Sunshine Quilt. And guess what?...It's FREE!
Studio Sampou debuted Our Sunshine Quilt using the Nuance SKY Ombré fabrics in the 2024 Look Book using Denyse's My Sunshine pattern. We love Denyse, her modern style and all the super cool stuff she creates. We wanted to continue the fun so Jennifer asked Denyse if she wanted to create a month long playdate for March 2025 and she said YES!
Jennifer will be teaching her version of the quilt creating step by step videos and Denyse will have a written advice/guidance column. We hope to do a big zoom session all together too! There will be dancing :)
You can purchase Sampou's Our Sunshine Quilt kit, use Denyse's fabrics, or your own stash and/or mix it all up! No two quilts will be alike. So come on, build your skills, work your color muscles and learn new tips! Let's PLAY!
